What are the tuition fees at XMU Malaysia?

Tuition fees for undergraduate programs range from RM 26,000 - RM 30,000 per year, depending on the course. Foundation programs cost RM 16,000 - RM 18,000 per year. Scholarships are available, offering up to 100% tuition fee waiver based on merit.

Am I eligible for a scholarship?

XMU Malaysia offers merit-based scholarships with tuition fee waivers of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% for undergraduate studies. Eligibility is determined by your high school GPA. Even with a 100% tuition waiver, administrative fees still apply.

Are scholarships available for postgraduate (PG) studies?

Yes, XMU Malaysia offers up to 30% tuition fee waivers for postgraduate students. The scholarship amount depends on the applicant's Bachelor's degree GPA. There are no fully funded scholarships for postgraduate students at XMU Malaysia. Applicants should check the eligibility criteria and apply early for consideration.

How much do I need to pay upfront to start the visa process?

The total upfront payment is RM 2,900 (~USD 650), covering: application fee RM 100, registration fee RM 200, hostel application fee RM 100, international student fee RM 2,500 (includes visa, admin, and insurance fees).

What is covered under the International Student Fee?

The RM 2,500 International Student Fee covers: Student visa application & renewal, Medical insurance, Administrative costs. This does not include tuition fees or living expenses.

What are the English language requirements for admission?

Most programs require a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 - 6.0. Some students may be exempted if their previous education was fully in English.

Can I work while studying in Malaysia?

International students can work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during semester breaks. Work is only allowed in approved sectors like retail, restaurants, and tourism.
